CONTENT RITUAL: Gift Yourself Time and Self-Love with Jane Kersel’s Practice

When was the last time you did something for yourself? Many of us tend to give a lot to others – in relationships or jobs – but may overlook giving ourselves the self-care which we need and deserve. So this month, our resident wellbeing expert Jane Kersel kindly gifted us an audio yoga nidra practice, to help us practice the art of gifting ourselves through self love. Yoga nidra or “yogic sleep” is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. Want to reach that space? All you’ll need is 12 minutes. Get it below.

This month we are going to gift ourselves the greatest three gifts beyond any material, tangible thing you could ever buy in a shop: the gift of time (because we are unaware, until we stop, just
how much we are addicted to doing); the gift of connecting to our deep inner world (because unlike the constantly shifting outer world, our inner world is always there for us to lean into and find
strength from) and the gift of self-love (because simply by doing this practice, it shows that you love yourself enough to want to make sure that you are taking the highest self-care).

Below you will find a little gift from me that I recorded especially for you in my yogashala: it’s a short 12 minute yoga nidra practice (the yoga of sleep) which will stroke your nervous system,
mind and body into a beautifully soft, unfolding, spacious place. Feel free to share the love and peace.
