It’s Summer and you’ve just come back from the beach with hair that is tousled, full of body and texture. It looks effortless, cool and edgy without even trying. Of course you’d be reluctant to wash it! After all, who doesn’t love that laid-back, lived-in, ‘just-got-back-from-the-beach’ look?
You can however – with a little help from some organic haircare – recreate that seaside-holiday-hair sans beach. Our current favourite product for at home beach hair is the Elderflower Salt Spray by Less is More which has just landed. (link to product). No chasing waves required! Here is why….
THE PRODUCT: The Less is More Elderflower Salt Spray is a natural texturising and moisture-rich styling spray which gives your hair structure, volume and body, with a matte finish. It’s great for all hair types and perfect to add some va-va-voom to fine or straight hair. Because of its soft hold, it’s the ideal product to recreate those loose, tousled beach-waves. It works just as well for creating romantic up-dos and pretty braids, while keeping them in place – we won’t be doing without it at upcoming Summer weddings!
Plus, we like that it’s a styling and treatment in one: aside from giving you that beach-babe allure, it looks after hair and scalp too. Key ingredients include Primal Rock Salt from Altaussee for volume and definition; Aloe Vera for cooling and moisturising; and anti-inflammatory Elderberry Seed Oil to protect and nourish. Meanwhile, the 100% certified organic essential oils of Elderflower, Petitgrain Clementine and Orange Blossom, give it a delightfully uplifting scent: delicately floral, with zesty, citrusy notes. We particularly like the addition of the mood-brightening, emotionally strengthening Clementine. It may not be actual sea water, but a few spritz of this on hair make us just as happy!
We Love: Salt – Although all the ingredients are fantastic, we particularly love the inclusion of the Primal Rock Salt Brine which comes from the mineral-rich and pure salt deposits of Altaussee in Austria. It gives hair definition, texture, body and volume.
