BLOGGERS CORNER: Beauty by Britanie Reveals What’s in her Make-Up Bag

BRITANIE

We’re excited to unveil our brand new series ‘Bloggers Corner’! As ‪#‎NaturalBeauty‬ voyeurs of the highest order, we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to sneak a peek into some of our favourite beauty bloggers’ make-up bags and quiz them about their beauty routines. If you’re a green beauty blogs aficionado yourself, stay tuned for our monthly installments.

Our first guest from from across the pond is Britanie Faith of the Beauty by Britanie blog. We were instantly taken by her beautifully put-together beauty looks and sweet, ‘flower child’ aesthetic. Now, over to Britanie…

unnamedHello to my fellow Green Beauty Connoisseurs ! My name is Britanie Faith and I’m the Creator of the site Beauty by Britanie.  I’m also a freelance make-up artist, photographer, intuitive healer, green beauty advocate, beauty writer and model.

I studied Psychology and English in college and soon thereafter, completed nutritionist Natalia Rose’s Intensive Teacher Training Program in NYC. So I’ve seen the way a detoxed way of life can transform a person’s health and I continue to work at making my life as beautiful, clean and healthy as possible. Natalia Rose’s work has helped me so much with my challenges of Fibromyalgia, Endometriosis, Anxiety Disorder, and numerous digestive issues I’ve had since I was a teenager. I believe having dealt with these issues has increased my passion for helping others deal positively and proactively with their own concerns. And throughout researching for ways to heal myself, in the process I realized that what I was putting on my body by way of personal care products could be making either a positive or negative impact on my health, depending on my choices. That realization was the beginning of my quest for all things natural and organic.

One of the advantages of being a Green Beauty Writer is being able to sample the very best in luxurious beauty, make-up and skin care products. What you see in my bag is some of the very best products that I’ve discovered and will continue to purchase over and over. I have very sensitive, dry and (sometimes) reactive skin. So each of these has worked for me and I highly recommend them! Of course, part of your own personal journey into green beauty is to find what works best for you and your skin type. Every person is unique and so is your skin. Also – remember that each step you take in the direction of green beauty, no matter how small, is a positive action and ultimately results in a healthier you!

  • May Lindstrom Skin Jasmine Garden: I personally know May and this gorgeous mist is just like she is: sweet, authentic, unique, and simply luxurious. I mist my face to set my mineral foundation as well as to freshen up my makeup and keep skin hydrated throughout the day.  The aromatherapy benefits of smelling like a Jasmine Garden don’t “hurt” either!
  • Studio 78 Paris Blush ‘In the Fields’ in o2: I love the sheer yet ultra-rich hues of  this particular colour. The packaging is so chic and I love that the top has a mirror included. A little bit goes a long way. A superb formulation!
  • RMS Beauty Eye Polish in Lunar: I use this as a highlighter and dab it on my cheek bones, forehead and on the inside corner of my eyes for illumination. It provides a champagne pearl subtle shimmer veil. This is a great multitasking product.
  • Kjaer Weis Lip Tint in Rapture & Beloved: Two of my favorite Kjaer Weis Lip Tints. Rapture is a bright blue-based pink that’s perfect for my skin tone and it’s so flattering. I love the velvet lusciousness of this gorgeous product. And the “jewelry” like feel of the refillable compact is beyond classic. Beloved is more of a blackberry color than a burgundy and it’s hue is so pretty and buildable.  I love layering different KW lip tints to create fun new colors!
  • Lina Hanson’s Satori Perfume: I met beautiful Lina in person two years ago in NYC. She is everything wonderful that you’d  image her to be.  I wasn’t surprised to fall in love with her new signature scent. It’s so unique, sexy and smells exotic with the  warm vanilla, calming sandalwood and crisp notes of Japanese Yuzi & Ginger. Editor’s Note – Standby for a Lina Hanson Satori sample giveaway at Content, coming soon!
  • ILIA Polka Dots & Moonbeams: I use this subtle illuminator to add dimension right on my brow bones, the bridge of my nose and a dab on my lower lip. I love that this formula contains Rose Hip Oil which is so healing.
  • And of course my EcoTools brushes simply because I love the way they perform!

The Jane Iredale Headquarters are located in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts where I live! It’s not unusual to see Ms. Iredale at the same natural food co-op that I shop at in town. I’m in awe of this incredible woman and the empire she has created in natural beauty. Her makeup line is a staple in my beauty regimen. I love this particular Jane Iredale “Getaway” Eye Shadow palette with five perfect shades inspired by the tranquil country landscapes which we both adore!

Other products that I use as part of my skincare regime include: Odacite Ma+N Serum, Lina Hanson Global Face Serum and the Pai Skincare Instant Calm Redness Serum. I also use Kahina Argan Oil & Toning Mist, Dr. Alkaitis Soothing Gel and the MV Skincare Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturiser………plus lots of other lovely brands which you can discover on my blog!
