Nude natural lipstick is one of those natural beauty essentials that every girl needs in her green make-up kit! Extremely versatile, a smokey eye is all it takes to upgrade this beauty from daytime laid-back beauty to evening glamour. But with all the variety of #ContentApproved nude hues on offer – ranging from peachy to beigey – how can one safely navigate the minefield of natural nude lipsticks? With the help of a trusty green make-up artist, of course! Following on from our ‘How to Wear Orange Lipstick’ guide, the perfect nude is the post-summer lip shade par excellence. Getting the right shade can enhance your tanned glow or if you’re a naturally pale beauty, it can highlight your natural lip colour to complement the perfect “natural” make-up look. Gone are the days where you are left looking drained and pale – our #ContentGuide to nude lips will help you match the correct shade to your skin tone. Our universal nude of choice would be ILIA Beauty’s Nobody’s Baby, but if you want to colour-match by skin tone, find your go-to shade below.

LIGHT WITH YELLOW UNDERTONES – For skin tones with yellow undertones you can never go wrong with a peachy shade of make-up, which also works within a nude lipstick. One of our favourites is ILIA Beauty’s In My Room – the perfect nude shade.

PALE WITH PINK UNDERTONES – We love the consistency of the Studio 78 Lipsticks – with their long lasting moisturising formula, they are great for everyday wear. Our favourite nude in this range is Studio 78 ‘Let’s Get Married’ Lipstick in 02 – Satin Wedding: Pink Pinch Nude which is perfect for light-skinned, rosy lipped girls.

OLIVE TONED – Olive toned or naturally bronzed green beauties have two options: you can either rock a nude with orange as an undertone, like the infamous Funnel of Love by ILIA Beauty (think bronzed Bridgette Bardot). The other look delves even further back into the Sixties with our favourite, ILIA Beauty Humble Me, the nude of all nudes! It completely knocks out your natural lip tones for a really nude lip. MEDIUM TO DEEP – Your lip colour will be naturally darker, so we suggest a warm nude colour. Vapour Siren Lipstick in Chere is the perfect shade, with pinky mauve undertones which will help enhance the deeper tones of your lips. Another option is the semi-matte formula of ILIA Beauty Come Undone Lipstick Crayon – this subtle nude and matte formula means this is a versatile day-to-night colour.
