Feb 12th – RMS Beauty Event Instore: Want to meet one one of the world’s leading make-up artists? Here’s your chance! Feb 3rd – Made in Hackney’s Valentine Special: Raw Chocolate: Love chocolate? Want to satisfy your sweet craving in as healthy a way as possible? Master the art of raw chocolate with this cooking class, hosted by gourmet raw chef Jayne Totty of Supernourished. Jayne will share all the skills and techniques needed to create your own guilt-free, delicious raw chocolate creations at home, which are free from refined-sugar, animal or soya products. Feb 12th – How to: A pre-Valentine’s Day Special. The Art of Dating: Does it seem hard to go out there and meet someone? Do you find internet dating daunting? Are you apprehensive about the ‘dating game’ but would actually like to find a partner? Until March 8 – Freud and Eros: Love, Lust and Longing: For an unconventional Valentine’s date, visit the Freud Museum. Sigmund Freud had some pretty revolutionary theories about love and libido, which remain an intriguing topic to this day. This exhibition explores the neurologist’s letters, writings and art collection on the subject of love – which takes the form of Greek god Eros in many of his writings –  is a rare chance to admire a collection of around 2,500 antiquities that are usually off-limits, up-close. www.freud.org.uk

Feb 1st – Well and Happy Wellness Lunch: Looking for a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon? We like the sound of a five course-long afternoon lunch, combining delicious healthy plant-based food, positive vibes and lots of inspiration. The new concept by healthy foodie Chelsea Parsons of Well and Happy launches on the 1st of February in Richmond upon Thames and aims to bring together healthy, like-minded people. www.wellandhappy.co.uk
 
Feb 27th  – Grazia on How to Eat Right now: To celebrate their tenth birthday, Grazia will be hosting a series of talks called Ten Talks at London’s esteemed Getty Images Gallery. We’ve already got our spot booked for ‘How to Eat Right Now’, which will feature a panel of our favourite ‘superfoodies’: food writers Melissa and Jasmine Hemsley of Hemsley & Hemlsey, Ella Woodward of blog Deliciously Ella, Natasha Corrett, founder of Honestly Healthy, and Jamie Oliver’s protégée Anna Jones. The panel will discuss their philosophies to eating well and how we can all fit this into our everyday lives, as well as dishing advice on must-have ingredients and foolproof recipes. Until March 3rd – Retox VS Detox Pop-Up: We’re fans of not taking life too seriously so this cheeky pop-up in Old Street station appeals. On one hand you have healthy treats – which are colour-coded and labelled in green, and on the other, indulgent pleasures branded in red. Feb 6th – Mindfulness Wine Tasting: We never would have put wine and mindulness together in the same sentence, but we’re glad that someone proved us wrong. In fact, The Mindfulness Project is hosting evening of ‘mindful’ organic wine tasting with Meg from The Dancing Vine, who will demonstrate how to have a unique tasting experience by engaging all of our senses. This relaxing and insightful evening will aim to help us restore a sense of calm and balance in our lives, and teach us to enjoy wine with awareness. Count us in.
Feb 7th – Learn to Meditate in Half a Day: New to meditation? If you don’t quite now where to begin, we recommend you try a class and practice with a teacher first. In just one morning you can pick up the basics at the Kadampa Meditation Centre, where you can take a class, followed by a vegetarian lunch. It’s also suitable for experienced meditators as a way to relax, unwind and meet like-minded people. www.meditateinlondon.org.uk
Feb 2nd – March 23rd  – Weekly Body Prema Yoga for Positive Body Image: Most of us could all do with a little bit more self-love. Yoga is a great way to practice self-kindness and this eight-week course is designed for women who face difficulties with their body image and would like to cultivate greater self-love and body acceptance, by exploring the practice of yoga in a non-judgemental and empowering way. Feb 12th-15th – The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure and Travel Show: Calling all adrenaline junkies and outdoor lovers! This family-friendly event is a must for travellers, bike and sport enthusiasts. Be inspired by adventurous guest speakers, ask the experts for advice on your travels, watch climbers battle it out on an indoor climbing wall, or give it a go yourself. Feb 21st – Flex in the City Workshop- The City is My Playground is one of our favourite blogs (and Instagram feeds @cityismyplayground), so we were delighted to know that founder Nicola Cher Geismar – a pilates trainer and ‘street athlete’ – is now hosting workshops in East London.  You too, can now ‘bend it like Geismar’ and learn how to strike a post against the backdrop of urban London via 90-minute workshops which help build core and upper body strength, as well as having heaps of fun. www.eventbrite.com

Feb 20th – 20,000 Days on Earth: Movie night with Nick Cave? Count us in! The film of cultural and musical icon Nick Cave’s film 20,000 Days on Earth will be screening at Stow Film Lounge, and combines drama and reality if the fictious 24 hours in the life of Cave. With startlingly frank insights and an intimate portrayal of the artistic process, the film examines what makes us who we are and celebrates the transformative power of the creative spirit. Feb 1st  – 8th: Snowdrop Days at Chelsea Physic Gardens:  Snowdrops are special to gardeners, as they are the first Spring bulb to appear. See them bloom at  London’s oldest botanic garden, as the venue unlocks its doors for nine days in winter to showcase its collection of snowdrops (Latin name Galanthus, meaning ‘milk flower’) at their peak. Guided tours will highlight the huge variety out there, so you don’t need to be an expert to appreciate their beauty. Until Feb 10 – Rethinking The Urban Landscape: Any Londoner will tell you that although the city’s landscape holds a special place in their heart (OK, maybe not the busy bus lanes), we’d certainly vote for more open spaces in London if we were able to squeeze them in! So, what options are currently out there? This exhibition looks at how landscape architecture can help provide solutions to a host of urban issues such as flooding and public health.
