Blue Eyeliner Make-Up Tutorial from Kjaer Weis

As much as natural black eye liner is a staple in any natural beauty’s repertoire, it’s fun to mix it up from time to time and try something a little different – especially when you’re dressing up. Why not reinvent your usual cat eye with a colourful blue eye liner? Get the tutorial by green make-up artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis, using products from her eponymous organic beauty range below. It’s simple, cool and effective.

What you’ll need:

 What to do:

  1. Firstly, prime your face so it’s the ideal canvas for a bold-eyed look. Then moisturise and sparingly apply the Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation of your desired shade. For your brows, fill them in with an eye shadow close to your brow colour for a clean, groomed look.
  2. Next – eyes. Dust a light, neutral shadow like the Cloud Nine Eye Shadow over the entire lid to create a silky smooth base. Then, using the standout Blue Wonder Eye Shadow and the Angle Brush, begin to create the winged effect of a cat-eye using the edge of a credit card or a Kjaer Weis refill package. Place the edge at a 45 degree angle to the outer eyelid as a guide for the “wings”; apply Blue Wonder Eye Shadow to the outer corners of the eyes. When you remove the card, a clean, perfectly shaped wing will appear. Line the rest of the eye along the lash line to meet the wing. Finish by coating lashes with the Kjaer Weis Organic Mascara.
  3. When you have such a strong look on the eyes, you want to keep the rest minimal. So, set off the bold eye with just a touch of pale, sheer pink to the cheeks and lips. Dot the Embrace Cream Blush along the apples of the cheeks and blend with the Kjaer Weis Blush Brush. Pat the Embrace Cream Blush on lips and layer the Bliss Full Lip Tint over it for a perfectly pale, rosy pink lip.
