Mews of Mayfair’s Field to Fork Menu – Mews of Mayfair Head Chef Michael Lecouteur is creating a three course menu available throughout the festival with all ingredients featured London sourced, grown and produced. www.mewsofmayfair.com
Midnight Apothecary at The Brunel Museum Rooftop Garden – Open every Saturday night throughout the festival, The Brunel Museum will transfer into a midnight apothercary, with cocktails made from fruits and garnished with herbs grown in the roof top garden overlooking the Thames. www.thecocktailgardener.co.uk
Urban Farm Tour: A Visit to the Future – On Saturday 13th of September, tour the Grow Up Urban Farm on the newly developed Rooftop East and learn about aquaponic growing, how London can feed itself in the future and how the attitudes and landscape around urban farming are changing in a Q&A with Grow Up’s founders. www.foxandsquirrel.com
Wedderburn – Throughout the festival the Horniman Museum and Gardens display will feature a World Food Garden with over 100 varieties of fruit, vegetables, herbs, grains and seed oil plants from around the world, complimented by a pop-up medicinal garden, dye garden and materials garden. www.horniman.ac.uk
Taste the Wild – An Intro to Wild Food – On Saturday the 20th we’ll be heading down to Tower Hamlets Cemetery for a wild food walk where we’ll be enlightened on sustainable harvesting techniques and basic plant identification techniques, all whilst grazing on leaves, berries and roots. Alara Annual Autumn Harvest Festival Feast – On Friday the 26th one of our favourite organic muesli brands will be hosting the Harvest Festival Feast at Kings Cross Gardens. Look forward to an evening of grape harvesting, live music and a bonfire. alara.co.uk
Made In Hackney Live Cultures & Ferments Masterclass & Italian Gluten Free Vegan Feast Community Cooking Class – On Saturday 27th, Made In Hackney will be hosting a live cultures and ferments masterclass, educating attendees on the benefits of fermented foods as a powerful aid to digestion and a protection against disease. If you can’t make it on the 27th, on Sunday the 28th, Made in Hackney will also be hosting an event with Natural Chef Ceri from the blog Natural Kitchen Adventures, where you will be shown how to prepare a variety of Italian inspired gluten-free dishes including courgette spaghetti, tricolore salad with homemade nut cheese and Tuscan Chestnut cake. www.madeinhackney.org
