It’s arrived! The #greenbeauty brand you’ve all been waiting for has finally hit our shelves and to celebrate its arrival we caught up with LA based founder and CEO Valerie Grandury to find out how to make the most out of the Odacite – Pure Elements range.
We love the combination of plant oils used in the Pure Elements range. How did you come to formulate this clever collection of concentrates?
The premise of these 18 serum concentrates is to infuse your skin with a concentrated dose of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. I wanted something that would be easily incorporated into any skin regime, for targeted results in minimal time. When it comes to quick visible results, facial oil serums are the answer. Because oils are lipophilic (fat-loving), they pass through the lipid layer of the skin faster to make way for deep penetration of actives into the skin, delivering amazing results.
The blends smell and feel wonderful on the skin. How do you source the ingredients?
To create each serum concentrate, we blended and re-blended until magic happened and every single formula enhanced the skin it touched while enveloping you in a mood-enhancing scent. We use the most extraordinary and precious oils from all over the world. Each oil is freshly cold pressed – never using any heat or solvent. Once extracted, they are packaged in medicinal violet glass to preserve all of their benefits.
How would you recommend we integrate the serums into our organic beauty regime?
Each serum concentrate is a one-month skin treatment (one set of skin cells). They are super simple to use, just add 2-3 drops to your moisturizer or use pure for deep treatment. They can be used close to the eye however, the trick is to make sure it does not get onto your lashes, as oils will travel on your lashes and may end up in your eye.
Can the serums be blended together to create bespoke combinations or are they best used one at a time?
I recommend you create your own skin cocktail, to target your specific skin concerns. Use each serum separately (ie one in the morning one at night.) Alternating is a big plus since you feed your skin with different nutrients each time:
- Mature + Hyperpigmentation – Green tea + Lemon Grass + Papaya Seed + Geranium
- Anti-Ageing + Sensitive – Acai + Rose + Camelina + Chamomile
- Combination + Pimple Prone – Jojoba + Lavender + Black Cumin + Cajeput
- Dry Skin (fabulous for winter) –Marula + neroli + Moringa + Petit Grain
- Healthy Glow: Wild Carrot + Passion Fruit Orange
For those who are new to the range, which concentrate would you recommend starting with?
Aha this is great question and a bit of Solomon’s choice as I love all of them! Our absolute best sellers are:
- Anti-ageing: Acai + Rose (highest concentration of antioxidants) and Rosehip +Ylang Ylang (great source of vitamin C)
- Hydration: Marula + Neroli (restore the skin barrier and elasticity)
- Sensitive: Camelina + Chamomile
- Pimples: Black Cumin + Cajeput
